Who are the founders of THORChain?

According to THORChain's official representatives, the platform has no CEO, no founder, and no directors. The development of the protocol is organized via Gitlab, with nodes being the ultimate deciders of which codebase to run. The team working on the project largely remains anonymous to "protect the project and ensure that it can decentralize."

What makes THORChain unique?

THORChain enables native asset settlement, allowing users to swap Bitcoin, Ether, Stablecoins, and other coins across 9 distinct blockchains without wrapping or pegging assets. It also uses a unique system to help mitigate the issue of "impermanent losses" for liquidity providers. Additionally, THORChain offers features like Streaming Swaps and single-sided liquidity provision through Savers.

How is the THORChain network secured?

THORChain utilizes a Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, where validators stake the native RUNE token to participate in the network and validate transactions. Validators are incentivized through transaction fees and block rewards.
