The GBP/USD pair struggles to capitalize on modest recovery gains registered over the past two days and oscillates in a narrow range, around the 1.3050-1.3045 region during the Asian session on Monday.

At the market open in London, the FTSE 100 Index declined 0.32%. The FTSE 250 Index and the FTSE 350 Index also fell.

GBP/JPY has formed a right-angle triangle which indicates a breakout higher is likely.

In Thursday's session, the AUD/USD currency pair experienced a gain of 0.40%, reaching 0.6695 mainly due to positive labor market data reported during the Asian session.

The USD/JPY pair edges lower to around 150.05 despite the firmer US dollar (USD) on Friday during the early Asian session. Investors will keep an eye on the US Building Permits and Housing Starts, which are due later on Friday.

The Pound Sterling clawed back a scant sixth of a percent against the Greenback on Thursday, well short of the midweek plunge that saw Cable slump another six-tenths of a percent.

EUR/USD continues to backslide following the European Central Bank’s (ECB) quarter-point rate trim early Thursday. A lack of bullish momentum has Fiber extending near-term losses, and the pair is down over 3.5% from late September’s peak bids just above 1.1200.

EUR/GBP sees more downside after the ECB cut key borrowing rates by 25 bps.

USD/JPY continues making higher highs and higher lows as it extends its short-term uptrend towards the underside of the major trendline in the 151.00s.

The EUR/USD pair extends its decline to near 1.0850 during the early Asian session on Thursday.

Tension snapped in GBP/UISD chart action on Wednesday, with Cable losing the tug of war and backsliding out of recent congestion. Cable tumbled two-thirds of one percent and slipped below the 1.3000 handle during the midweek market session.

EUR/USD is in freefall, plummeting to multi-week lows as the Euro continues to crumple ahead of the European Central Bank’s (ECB) upcoming rate call on Thursday. The ECB is widely expected to trim interest rates by a quarter of a percent, or 25 bps.

EUR/JPY is correcting lower after another test of the top of its ten-week range. 

EUR/USD holds its position after a four-day losing streak, trading around 1.0890 during the Asian session on Wednesday.
