Jan 29 (Reuters) - Wall Street's main indexes were subdued at the open on Wednesday, as losses in tech heavyweights Apple and Nvidia kept broader gains in check and investor attention turned to the U.S. Federal Reserve's interest-rate decision, due later in the day.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI fell 30.8 points, or 0.07%, at the open to 44,819.55. The S&P 500 .SPX fell 10.0 points, or 0.16%, at the open to 6,057.7, while the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC dropped 37.9 points, or 0.19%, to 19,695.68 at the opening bell.
