Wall Street's main indexes soared on Wednesday, with the benchmark S&P 500 touching a one-week high, driven by lower-than-expected December core inflation data and robust quarterly earnings from major U.S. banks. .N

At 13:30 EST, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was up 1.62% at 43,205.43. The S&P 500 .SPX was up 1.74% at 5,944.76, and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC was up 2.32% at 19,486.48.
