** UnitedHealth UNH.N and Amedisys AMED.O have agreed to extend the deadline to close their $3.3 billion merger agreement to next year, a regulatory filing showed on Friday. nL4N3NS0JO
** Indian billionaire Sajjan Jindal-led JSW Energy JSWE.NS said on Friday its unit, JSW Neo Energy, will acquire renewable energy platform O2 Power's subsidiaries in a deal worth $1.47 billion. nL4N3NS0MR
** Japanese manufacturing giant Nidec 6594.T said on Friday it has planned to launch a 257 billion yen ($1.6 billion) bid for Makino Milling Machine 6135.T, a surprise unsolicited takeover offer in a country better known for agreed deals. nL1N3NR0ID
** HomeStreet Bank HMST.O is selling nearly $990 million of its multifamily commercial real estate loans to Bank of America BAC.N, in a deal that the Seattle-based lender said would help it return to profitability and reduce costly funding sources. nL4N3NS0MO
** UltraTech Cement ULTC.NS, India's top cement maker, will buy an 8.69% stake in Star Cement STAT.NS, it said on Friday, in a deal worth up to 8.51 billion rupees ($100 million) for a company that rival Adani Group was reportedly interested in acquiring. nL4N3NS0A9
** Turkish drone maker Baykar has bought Italian aircraft producer Piaggio Aerospace, Italy's industry ministry said on Friday, without disclosing financial details. nL8N3NS08Y
