Chilean peso weakens past 1,000 per dollar for first time since 2022

Jan 2 (Reuters) - The Chilean peso CLP= fell 0.7% against the U.S. dollar on Thursday, weakening past 1,000 per greenback for the first time since July 2022, as most Latin American currencies start 2025 on the back foot.
