The Canadian dollar weakened against the greenback on Friday, and the yield on benchmark government debt held steady.
The loonie CAD= was trading 0.2% lower at C$1.4429 to the greenback, or 69.3 U.S. cents, after trading in a range of 1.4376 to 1.4449.
Canadian government 10-year bond yields CA10YT=RR rose 0 basis points to 3.295%. The yield on similar U.S. government benchmark debt rose to 4.6172%.
U.S. February crude CLc1 futures rose 90 cents to $70.52 a barrel on Friday.
