U.S. SEC to Hold Roundtable Meeting on April 11: Will Altcoin Spot ETFs Finally Break Through?

TradingKey - The U.S. SEC is set to hold its first roundtable meeting of the year. The altcoin spot ETF could be a key topic of discussion. 

On Monday, the SEC's cryptocurrency special working group announced the agenda and members for its upcoming meeting, which will take place at  SEC headquarters on April 11(Eastern Time). The meeting will be live-streamed for the public.

The theme of the meeting is "Between a Block and a Hard Place: Tailoring Regulation for Crypto Trading" , indicating a focus on regulatory challenges surrounding cryptocurrencies. Topics may include altcoin spot ETFs and the  concept of a U.S. cryptocurrency strategic reserve. 

Currently, issuers have submitted spot ETF applications for altcoins such as  LTC, XRP, ADA, and DOGE. These applications are awaiting review, with the SEC expected to either approve or deny them in the coming weeks.
