Carney says Trump respected Canada's sovereignty in conversation

OTTAWA, March 28 (Reuters) - Prime Minister Mark Carney on Friday told reporters that U.S. President Donald Trump had respected Canada's sovereignty during a conversation the two men had earlier in the day.
Trump has frequently referred to Canada as a 51st U.S. state and mused about annexing it.
