ReutersJan 6, 2025 8:15 PM

- Chicago Board of Trade soybean futures climbed on Monday on dry weather conditions in Argentina and a fall in the U.S. dollar .DXY, according to analysts.

  • CBOT March soymeal SMH25 fell $1.30 to end at $307.30 per short ton, while March soyoil BOH25 rose 0.40 cents to settle at 40.33 cents per pound.

  • The U.S. dollar was lower on Monday in volatile trading after conflicting reports about how aggressive President-elect Donald Trump's planned tariffs will be when he takes office.

  • The uncertainty surrounding the economic impact of such tariffs has been expected to encourage the U.S. Federal Reserve to slow interest rate cuts.

  • The U.S. Department of Agriculture reported export inspections of U.S. soybeans in the latest week at 1,284,970 metric tons, in line with trade expectations for 800,000-1,400,000 tons. USDA/EST
