Denmark shares higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 1.23%

Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Personal&Household Goods and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 1.23%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Rockwool International B (CSE:ROCKb), which rose 3.21% or 96.00 points to trade at 3,084.00 at the close. NKT Holding (CSE:NKT) added 2.85% or 18.50 points to end at 667.00 and Zealand Pharma A/S (CSE:ZELA) was up 2.57% or 23.00 points to 918.00 in late trade.

Biggest losers included GN Store Nord (CSE:GN), which lost 2.31% or 3.90 points to trade at 163.00 in late trade. Oersted AS (CSE:ORSTED) declined 1.77% or 7.70 points to end at 427.80 and Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT) shed 0.85% or 2.40 points to 280.20.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 85 to 51 and 14 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.89% or 1.32 to $71.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.74% or 1.28 to hit $74.93 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.42% or 10.90 to trade at $2,609.50 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.22% to 6.69, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.00% to 7.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 100.47.
