In January 2009, Bitcoin was launched as a decentralized cryptocurrency, originally detailed in a 2008 whitepaper by an individual or group under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto. This peer-to-peer digital currency enables direct transactions between equal, independent participants without requiring intermediaries. Ethereum aims to become a global platform for decentralized applications (dApps), enabling users worldwide to write and run software that is resistant to censorship, downtime, and fraud.

Bitcoin Cash is a cryptocurrency that was created as a fork of the original Bitcoin blockchain in 2017. The fork occurred due to disagreements within the Bitcoin community over proposed changes to increase Bitcoin's block size, which would impact the network's scalability and transaction processing capabilities.
