CANADA FX DEBT - Canadian dollar weakens, benchmark yield slips

The Canadian dollar weakened against the greenback on Monday, and the yield on benchmark government debt slipped.

The loonie CAD= was trading 1% lower at C$1.4665 to the greenback, or 68.19 U.S. cents, after trading in a range of 1.4599 to 1.4793.

Canadian government 10-year bond yields CA10YT=RR fell 14.8 basis points to 2.917%. The yield on similar U.S. government benchmark debt fell to 4.5206%.

U.S. March crude CLc1 futures rose $1.98 to $74.51 a barrel on Monday.
