Who are the founders of IoTeX?

The IoTeX team is led by four co-founders: Raullen Chai, Qevan Guo, Xinxin Fan, and Jing Sun. Raullen Chai is also an advisor at BootUP Ventures and a member of the Industrial Distributed Ledger Task Group at the Industrial Internet Consortium. Qevan Guo is a co-founder of Hyperconnect Lab and was a research scientist and engineering manager at Facebook. Xinxin Fan was a senior research engineer at Bosch Research and Technology Center, North America, and Jing Sun is a managing partner at Sparkland Capital and an angel investor at Rippling.

What makes IoTeX unique?

IoTeX is designed as the decentralized backbone for "machine economics", serving devices ranging from smart home appliances to autonomous vehicles. It has built a fast, high-performance, and EVM-compatible blockchain that provides flexibility and scalability. IoTeX has also developed middlewares and dApps like Decentralized Identity, Confidential Computing, Secure Hardware, Ucam, and Pebble to bring self-sovereign devices and real-world data oracles into reality.

How is the IoTeX network secured?

IoTeX uses several mechanisms to ensure privacy and security. These include ring signatures and a reliable payment code that hides the transaction receiver's address. It also employs a Delegated Proof-of-Stake (DPoS) consensus, where stakeholders vote for block producers who are responsible for adding new blocks to the blockchain. Block producers receive rewards that they can distribute to the stakeholders who voted for them, incentivizing continued participation.
